"The trip to Avon Tyrrell was fantastic.   Saturday we did High ropes in the morning, then a good long ride in the afternoon.   The next day we went to do the Soutern XC, a great mountain bike race, and then archery back at the centre.    In all the trip was an amazing experience .   It made me want to do cycling over other sports and do more races plus the food was great, especially the spaghetti bolonese."     Tim Leake

"Thank you so much for organising the weekend away. Alex and Roy had the most fantastic time, though they both came back utterly exhausted. I had no idea that Alex would be the smallest and youngest of the boys to take part ( or Roy would be the oldest and the largest of the Dads !) I think they both did very well and it is an experience that they will both always remember."    Carol Hawley

"Many thanks all of you for organising the trip.   Tim thought it was great - and is completely exhausted - a rare sight!! He has talked non stop about the weekend - and is raring to go racing again!
the site sounds great - and we might look at it for a family trip sometime!"

"I just wanted to thank you all for organising the cycling weekend for the club. Arthur has barely stopped talking about since he got home. It sounds as if you had a good variety of activities. Iím quite jealous, and would have loved to come myself, though I think getting away from mum and dad was one of the best things about it for Arthur!

Well done, and I hope the experience hasnít put you off doing another one."

"All the kids survived the high ropes, archery, my navigation on the 3hr ride we did, and by no means least, our cooking.   We even had them washing up, despite initial astonishment at being asked  ...  the incentive of the telly going back on seemed to do the trick!

The kids all got on really well, and we adults were still speaking to each other at the end.   Bills 6:30am alarm on Sunday to get us up and ready to be at the Southern XC 2 hrs before race start almost caused a mutiny with Dave, Steve and I when it went off.  Dave eventually buckled and then we all had to get up.

Daves food provision was ace, as was Roy's wine and champagne.  The lodge was spacious and comfy, and the facilities in the grounds excellent, including their MTB track."
